| Kalabalik Brass Band and Roni Martin released a new album 9.5.2017. I was invited to improvise lighting for a two live shows. Venue was in the Betania house, Punavuori Helsinki, hosted by Universum Ry. The space itself is an old church hall built 1904. Mr Antoni Halonen is the stage manager and masters the technics as well. The venue presents mostly theatre but it served perfectly for our needs. Antoni welcomed us warmly and hosted the set up. I ended up working with a low fi aesthetics and quite basic conventional tools. White light, CTB, some front gobo washes and blinders off course. The show was divided in three parts and Kaari was dancing in last where they had an intimate duet with Roni. |  Photo Jukka Huitila |

Kill Carmen off to Guadalaraja, Mexico 15.5. -21.5.2017. I will go and do the lights as a touring technician. Lights are originally designed by Ville Virtanen. This is a big production and the theatre we are visiting is spectacular. More report will follow.
