Theatre Degollado was as breath taking as it was in the pictures. Giovanny with his crew from Lightshow and Jésus a head of the lighting from the Degollado hosted me professionally trough the visit. The set was pre rigged and all I had to do was to orchestrate the focusing. I programmed the show with MA2 in no time and we were ready to run trough the day before the showtime. We had three Kill Carmen shows and the last with full house.
I had a tour around the Degollado and the building itself is a spectacle from 1856. Theatre had a big renovation ten years ago where they lifted the roof to built up an electric pipe system and a mechanical orchestra pit. Touristic point of view the trip was a typical gig where you get to see the hotel lobby and the venue. Luckily easy access to the Guadalajara old town invited us to have a few fiestas after the shows. Traditional Mexican Mole is a must to eat, rich in flavour with chocolate and chilis. In the heat I felt relaxing that water was present in numerous fountains around the city parks. Perfect team from the Compañía made the 57h travel worth it!
Kill Carmen off to Guadalaraja, Mexico 15.5. -21.5.2017. I will go and do the lights as a touring technician. Lights are originally designed by Ville Virtanen. This is a big production and the theatre we are visiting is spectacular. More report will follow.
